Support of Geographic Education
The GC Geographic Research Commons supports the development of
undergraduate research opportunities in several geospatial fields, and enables classroom and
interactive learning across several disciplines and courses. The courses in Geographic
Information are an integral part of the Bachelors degrees in
Environmental Science and
Geography, and Masters degrees in
Biology and
Secondary
Education. Many students from this program go on to graduate schools and careers in fields that feature
geographic skills and training.
Special Education Projects
In support of the GC
Center for Engaged Learning, Teaching, and Scholarship,
and other venues, geography faculty have offered several Faculty Development Workshops in Geographic Education.
